Creating and maintaining a blog is one of the best ways to market yourself or your company on the internet. Blogging provides a wealth of opportunities for both yourself and your readers.
I have personally used them and highly recommend them. Avoid stuffing your blog with as many plugins as possible because they will eventually make your read my blog hard to navigate and make readers lose focus.
Search engine spiders love green content. It’s bot food and they gobble it up like kids gobble gummi bears. But it may take a while for a search engine to crawl your blog and start delivering links on the search engine results pages.
Allowing blog comments open indefinitely is significant because your blog archives live forever. Who knows, someone might open your blog posts and leave comments. If your blog posts are somehow relevant, then why will you close blog comments? But sometimes you need to close blog comments on a specific blog posts for some valid reasons. The following are the main reasons why you might consider closing blog comments.
Another great way to promote your blog is to comment on others’ blogs. It’s like that old saying about writing letters, “You’ve got to write them to get them.” Become a contributor to other people’s blogs and they in turn may contribute to yours, thus allowing you all to exchange active links.
Length, keep it long, but not too long. Make the article long enough to get your point across and online blogs get into detail add more over time to keep the lens fresh however do not make the article too long as it will bore the readers and you will not include the main details. Ten detailed lenses are better than fifty short un-informing lenses, you can also come back to a lens to keep it up- to- date with fresh information. A good length is 500 words the minimum should be at least 300 but I would recommend more so you have the right amount of detail but don’t bore your audience. If you feel as if your lens is too short you can add more at a later date but if your lens is too long you can break it up into smaller parts- for easier reading.
Get WordPress. WordPress is the best CMS, by far. There are more web designs out there, more special addons, it’s friendly to search engines, it’s professional, it’s easy to use. Seriously. Just install WordPress.
If you do all this, and some other internet marketing strategies too numerous for this article, you will not only see your blog visits and comments increase, but this will almost automatically do the same for a website you want to promote via this blog. You can even embed the latest one or two blog posts on your site to keep its content growing and send visitors back and forth. Provide your blog readers with quality valuable content and they’ll not only keep coming back, link to you and comment, they’ll tell others about you. So go out there and create a place for sharing your thoughts and information. And if you want, let us know about it!
