THE HOMEWORK: The first step in developing your reality TV show or documentary film is research. As you begin flushing out your idea, do your homework. Think of all the reality TV shows and space telescopes documentary you’ve seen in your lifetime. Which ones did you enjoy most? Why? Make notes of them and actively search for and try to find the most successful shows resembling your concept and ideas. You are going to need those in order to write an effective “log line” for your Reality TV style online video series, program or blog.

Proposition 130 was an ill fated, doomed piece of law from the minute it was written. The commercials were stupid. The Arbit millions backfired. It’s time to forget about it and get real.

The best part of this film is that it is real. Weight loss surgery is tough and the road is bumpy and twisted and challenging. It’s tough being fat and it’s tough losing weight. Not just for the comedienne on stage – but for every person brave enough to “take the easy way out.” A definite must-see film for the LivingAfterWLS audience and the people they love.

Horowitz – I could have made a typically ducumentary, but I think the film wold not have the same impact. The impact comes from the levity juxtaposed against the tragedy of what the U.N. is doing. At the end of the day, I think it is the humor makes the difference between this film being a footnote, and one that actually has an impact.
