What is a blog? A blog is a combination of a personal webpage and a journal – in some cases. In other cases, it is a way to get customer feedback. Others use blogs as a personal journal. There really is no answer these days to what is a blog, simply because a blog can be many different things, with many different uses – depending on the blogger who is blogging.

It will always require some effort to actually make money. This is true for every successful Internet Marketer out there, and almost any other really rich person. They had to work to get to that point and become successful. They also had the right tools and knew how to use them. You can’t be successful in anything without the right tools, and that especially goes for internet marketing. Just putting your blog online is not enough. After all, there are many millions of Great online content on the web right now, so unless your blog is on a high-traffic site, you may not get readers unless you advertise. You can easily advertise your blog without spending a cent by mentioning your blog in your emails and web pages or newsletters. You can also enter in online competitions – if your blog wins a prize you are more likely to get a constant flow of traffic to your blog. You can also ask ezines and other content providers to review your blog, which will also draw readers.

Make a plan and put it in writing. We decided who was in control of what, sort of a damage control action plan. Even if the guy who was in control of online reviews had to get with another manager before making a response, there was a plan so that we could respond quickly. It’s too much to think the owner can keep a watch on everything. So delegate that responsibility to one or more managers so that you can make a response fast. We had one guy in charge of online reputation, and another in control of offline reputation.

Well to be honest there are a few rotten apples in the bushel, but aren’t there always? Some people of course are not happy with the way technology is changing lives and that’s ok, that’s their opinion. Usually those who aren’t happy with it online blogs don’t blog.

Some people keep multiple blogs for multiple reasons, or to promote multiple products. In this way, marketers are able to leverage their opportunity to create buzz.

You can link your blogs together- Once you get good at running your first blog, you can put up other ones. You have the ability to link your sites together and build your own mini web net. This is another great way to get high quality, free traffic in abundance. You will find that each blog you build gets easier and easier. You will be amazed how much online real estate you can accumulate in six months if you just make a plan and execute it. Once you have an online presence, you will start to reap the financial rewards that you are seeking. It will not happen overnight, but is well worth the effort.
